About CBG Surveying, Inc.

A Brief History about the Connally Legacy - A Staple Among Texas Land Surveyors:

Connally Bros. Group Surveying, Inc. (CBG) is a recent corporate, "Offspring", of the well-known and recently retired Texas Land Surveying Firm: Doug Connally & Associates (DCA). As the two oldest sons of Mr. Doug Connally and owners of CBG Surveying, Inc., Josh and Bryan Connally are proud to carry on the well-respected Connally name and superior level of service in Texas for years to come. Bryan and Josh were both raised in the Land Surveying Industry by their Father, Mr. Doug Connally. Upon showing interest in their Father's trade, Mr. Doug Connally took them under his wing to show them the "surveying ropes". He was very adamant about teaching them the right and wrong ways to do things, leaving no stone unturned or line skewed. However, he also instilled that customer support, industry knowledge, and overall kindness will prevail and that motto is exactly what kept Mr. Connally's customers loyal for over 30+ years in D/FW.

Our Mentor
40+ years experience - Doug Connally was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas, on November 22, 1949, and attended 1st grade at Pickton High School. He lived in Pine Forest, Texas, with his Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt until March 1957, when he and his sister moved to Dallas with their Mom and Step-Dad. They resided there until Doug graduated from Sunset High School in May of 1968. He began his land surveying career with James A. Campbell Engineers from 1969-1971, as a field crew instrument man. He then took a position with Jimmy W. Pogue Land Surveyors, from 1971-1979, as a field party chief. His main responsibilities were to research deeds, create deed sketches, compile field data, and stake boundary lines from analyzed data gathered in the field. Already having a great deal of knowledge and experience in the surveying industry, Doug decided to start his own company in May of 1979 which was named, "Connally Surveying Services". CSS mostly focused on construction staking and topographic surveys for Developers, Architects, and Engineers. He got licensed with the State in August 1981 and never looked back. At that time he expanded his client base to the public and swiftly began to make a well-respected name for himself within the industry. His company provided services to Mortgage Companies, Title Companies, Banks, Architects, Engineers, Developers, and the General Public. He incorporated to "Doug Connally and Associates, Inc. - DC&A", in 1988. At one point in 2006 he had over 100 employees, 25 working crews, and several hundred clients that continue to recommend his services in the North and East Texas Area.

The CBG Difference…

We give you laminated, color hard-copies of all finals and we email you a PDF attachment of all surveys which can greatly assist, “Last Minute/Rush”, closings. All this is standard…

We also offer you and your immediate family FREE standard residential surveys, should you ever buy, sell, or refinance any personal home or property. We do this for any closer/employee there who orders from CBG on a somewhat frequent basis and feel this is just one small way we can show gratitude for your loyal survey business.

We have fast turn-around times in Texas and DO NOT charge extra fees for, “Rush/24-Hr. Turn-Arounds/Same-Day”, orders either! Put us to the test if you’re ever in a time-crunch for a rush closing.

We facilitate one of the largest service areas of operation in the State of Texas, servicing 37+ State Counties via our office(s) in Greater North Texas (Dallas) and Far East Texas (Sulphur Springs). CBG is everywhere.

We currently maintain a $2 million Error and Omission Insurance Policy, which allows us to satisfy the liability requirements of many new/existing clients who may require such extensive coverage from their surveying partner.

We currently employ 38 full crews of field workers, along with a knowledgeable and experienced staff of Registered Professional Land Surveyors (all RPLS Certified in the Great State of Texas)
